September Monthly Newsletter

This month, we progressed our organization in several ways, including shaping our image and gaining more funds.

Welcome to the September edition of the monthly newsletter! This month was amazing, productive, and the most impactful for our organization. We have several key points and special announcements to make.

Our September member of the month was our Director of Public Relations, Jaime Paladi (me)! Recognized with a unanimous vote from the other officers, Jaime was given this honor because he managed all the social media pages, newsletters, and internal procedures, putting Inspire Youth NJ on the path to success. He has been here since our inception in March 2024.

Congratulations on being given this honor! We are very proud to call you one of us.

Our first monumental moment in September was our new branding unveiling. Thanks to the help of Yohsie Tchouassi, who created the logo, we were able to shape the organization to represent who we are. Our new logo exudes community, love, and empowerment, which are all of our ideals. We absolutely love how the logo turned out, and we will be forever appreciative of Yohsie for making our vision come to life!

Next, we held our September volunteer event, which was unique in the aspect that it was our inaugural fundraising event. It was beyond successful. Thanks to the help of several volunteers washing cars and promoting us in the blazing sun from 11AM-6PM, we washed over thirty cars and were able to raise a grand total of $704! We were able to donate $97.00 to Team Gavin at the RWJ Barnabas Miracle Walk. To learn more about this event, please visit https://iynj.org/miracle. Once again, thank you to all the volunteers who showed up and to Crossroads Christian Fellowship for partnering with us!

Our Director of Public Relations, Jaime Paladi, launched a weekly inspirational newsletter named Wisdom Wednesday promoting self-love, motivation, inspiration mental-health awareness, and wisdom. He aims to discuss contemporary issues, then provide his takes and personal recounts on those subjects. Through this, he will make an impact on individuals. Thus far, he has discussed self-trust and living in the moment. Read up on those topics at iynj.org/wisdom!

During the latter half of this month, our amazing town representatives have been working diligently to kickstart this year’s Healing Hugs stuffed animal drive! They have contacted nearly thirty organizations thus far. Be on the look out for Healing Hugs boxes in local businesses! For more information, please visit https://www.healinghugsnj.org.

This month, we inducted 3 new town representatives: Samantha Fontanilla, a Junior at the Academy for Allied Health Sciences (UCVTS) representing Union; Mia Stoilov, a Junior at Linden High School; Anthony Ortega, a Sophomore at Donald M Sr. Payne School of Technology representing Elizabeth. We are so grateful to have these helpful volunteers who want to impact the community around them!

Finally, we are so excited to announce that we are the WINNERS of the Haughey Brothers Young Entrepreneur Fund! We received $2500 to help bolster our organization from the ground and improve our organization greatly. Initially, we intended this money to be dedicated to be used to wrap up the legal paperwork needed to become an official 501(c)(3) organization. Upon hearing this, the Haughey Brothers graciously decided to pay for all of the legal expenses as well. We have now officially finished ALL the necessary paperwork, and we are estimated to gain that official title by mid-October! This is a HUGE stepping stone, and we will be forever thankful for the opportunity Devin and Ethan provided to us.

Haughey Brothers Landscaping is a family-run, local business that provides services in the Westfield, NJ area. Working with them means entrusting your property in the best professionals in the business. Some of their work includes hardscaping, retaining walls, paver patios, and many more. For more information, visit their website. Again, thank you, Devin and Ethan! You will never be forgotten!
